PAUL VAN DYK
Making his dance music return in 2012, Paul van Dyk proved that even with the recent changes in music, evolution was the answer. One of trance music's staples, van Dyk serves as an inspiration for many up-and-coming DJs and producers just breaking out into the dance music scene. The release of his first studio album since 2007 "In Between," 2012's "Evolution" allowed van Dyk to express himself musically for the first time in years.
His biggest productions of 2012 included his collaboration alongside Plumb, "I Don't Deserve You," as well as his heart-felt vocal anthem which features Adam Young, "Eternity." "I Don't Deserve You" was released with remixes from Seven Lions, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Jerome Isma-Ae, Maor Levi and more. His collaboration alongside Adam Young of Owl City was also released with remixes from Giuseppe Ottaviani, Austin Leeds, Qulinez, Alex MORPH, Riley & Durrant among others.
Upon his visit the DJ Expo conference in Atlantic City, New Jersey this past summer, van Dyk showcased that reinvention is one of the keys to success. Paul van Dyk made a substantial return into the dance music spotlight in 2012, ensuring his impact on the trance and dance music world be foreseen for generations to come.
